Rochester Real Beer Expo: Here are the 20 local breweries you picked to pour
More than 1,300 folks cast votes during the two-week window. Breweries will be invited to the Expo on June 8, 2024.
So I originally told myself that we’d keep the local vote for the Rochester Real Beer Expo to the top 20, but then 1,356 of you wild and crazy kids voted in this goofy little experiment.
And this is where we find ourselves — we have 26 of the breweries on the ballot literally separated by such a small number of votes. So guess what? We’re gonna have more regional breweries at the Expo than I originally planned for and I’m OK with that.
You asked for it and here it is — the local breweries you’d like to see at the Expo, along with six curator’s choices. I’m responsible for the beer here, so I decided I was gonna invite some of my overlooked favorites. The breweries are listed in alphabetical order btw. Instead of 20, you’re gonna get 32 Rochester-area breweries. You’ll also get some spots from Buffalo, Syracuse, and the Finger Lakes.
