Great report, Will. This is very exciting. I’m looking forward to great beer while relaxing at the old mill. And I’m bracing for your next longest sentence 😁.

As the "former" owner of the DFM I wish nothing but success and happy times to the new owners and their new brewery. For 15 years we took excellent care of that very old historical building. Nothing is an easy fix, nothing Home Depot can order and fix!!. All problems came from repairs done by expert carpenters , engineers , roofers etc. Covid took our business away and any potential money to be made...for 2.5 years. That is a long time and I needed to point that out to the public. Not many people are in the market for anything to do with Food Service or used linen(pictured in your article) these days. Hundreds and hundreds of people and families enjoyed that building as a beautiful place to celebrate over many, many years....

Sincerely, Lisa Steubing

First off, we did not abandon the DFM 3 YEARS AGO. we paid taxes, mortgage, Liability insurance, Flood insurance , RGE, Water, all without a dime coming into our operating account. Why would you say we abandoned our business? What good does that do your business? I truly hope you can take care of that building because it deserves people and laughter again. You never mentioned the brand new carpeting in the bar area that has never seen public traffic on it....purchased and laid down one week before Covid officially hit Rochester. Is that a sign of a business owner that abandons a priority????

Can’t get here soon enough. Hoping Rising Storm lasts longer than the last marriage I saw celebrated there.Such a great spot to enjoy the surroundings and a tasty RS Brew. Hoping there is a landing spot for a canoe in the plans some day.
